Targeted Payouts
A Targeted Payout is a payout defined for specific targeting, which takes precedence over all other payouts provided the targeting of the postback matches that of the targeted payout. If you have a campaign that has different payouts for different countries you can set that up easily with targeted payouts. There are a lot of different options for targeting similar to the advanced targeting tab.
How to Create a Targeted Payout
Go to the Payouts tab when editing an offer
Switch to the Targeted tab
By default, the Single Payout tab is selected, you can switch to the Multiple tab if you want to create multiple countries-based targeted payouts in one step
Create a Name for the targeted payout
Select the Event
Select a Publisher for this targeted payout to be applied to
If none are selected, then the targeted payout applies to all publishers on the offer
Input WeGet, TheyGet, or Margin
Select the Targeting
Click Save
π₯ Clone Targeted Payout
After creating a targeted payout, you can click the Clone button to duplicate the targeted payout with the same configurations. This simplifies the process of creating similar targeted payouts and applying necessary modifications.
Once the payout is configured, return to the Offer Details page. On the Publishers tab, you will see a purple T icon under payouts. This will show you that a Targeted Payout has been set up on this offer. You can only view the targeted payout under the Offer > Edit > Payouts tab.
π‘ Targeted Payout Hierarchy & Feed API
Targeted payouts take priority over all other payouts set on the offer, then special payouts (custom payouts for publishers on an offer), and lastly default payouts.
Targeted Payouts are not considered in the Push Tool or the Feed API.
How to Easily Configure Multiple Country Targeted Payouts
If you have a large list of countries with different payouts, then you can easily use the 'Multiple' tab to paste each country's payout, so that you do not have to configure each targeted payout one by one. This allows a bulk creation of targeted payouts using a CSV format.
Instructions for Multiple Targeted Payouts:
Each payout should be separated by a line break and needs to match the following format:
CountryCodes,WeGet,TheyGet,Margin
In the case of multiple countries, the country codes need to be separated by the "pipe/vertical line key" | operator.
WeGet, TheyGet, and Margin are optional fields and can be left empty.
Once saved, you will have your targeted payouts automatically named with the country codes and the targeted payouts set up.
π‘ Country Code Tip
United Kingdom shows up as GB for Great Britain.
