Use Cases

When comparing your sources of paid and organic, it can be useful to investigate the retention of different sources. By setting up a stickiness report that the metric stickiness, grouping by source, and filtering for paid sources, you can see the stickiness over time of your paid users.

As an example below, halfway through the month paid users dropped to around 20% stickiness (also referred to as loyalty/retention).

Metrics: Stickiness

Group By: Source

Filters: Paid

Utilizing this report above you can investigate further by comparing it with organic user retention by removing the filter. This allows us to see that paid users are more active on the app than organic users.
