Alerts

Many times your campaigns have KPIs where a simple mistake or an overlooked metric can lead to a loss in revenue. With the Alert system, you will be able to receive notifications and take action right away.

How to Setup an Alert

  1. Go to Automation > Alerts

  2. Click + Create Alert Rule

  3. Add a name for your alert

  4. Include a description detailing what you want this alert to do

  5. Set to Active if you want the alert to start right away as soon as you save

  6. Choose which offers, publishers, and advertisers should be taken into account for this alert.

    1. If no filters are added, all offers, publishers, and advertisers will be considered for the below-configured conditions.

    2. Choose the Operation: Not In to exclude values in the filter

  7. Select the conditions that should be met in order to trigger the alert

    1. For statistics in relation to the above-selected filters and split by the following dimension

    2. Choose the thresholds and whether ALL or ANY need to match

💡Note: If you do not select the Postback Status and leave it empty, then the alert will only consider postbacks with the status Approved

    3. Select the timeframe for the condition

    4. Select what action will be performed at the end

      1. Depending on the dimension you chose in the "For" section, you have different actions to select. Some of these include notifying a user, or publisher, changing status, and more.

  8. Click save

💡 Additional Alert Tips

  • Alerts do not take action on archived offers.

  • Alert entries are limited to 10,000 entries.

  • Only entities with stats are considered when checking and sending alerts.

  • Conversion Rate (CR) = number of conversions for given event/clicks. If no event selected, then it considers all events.

Alert Actions

Depending on the conditions you select for the alert to be triggered you will be offered different actions that can be performed automatically. Here is the list:

  • Overall

    • Notify User (this action is in every condition)

    • Notify Admin (this action is in every condition)

If the alert is set on the Offer-Sub-Publisher level, and the action is set to Block Sub ID or Unblock Sub ID, then it will create a traffic control rule under the Traffic > Control section like below. See more about Traffic Control here.

What Happens when the Alert is Triggered

When your alert is triggered then you will see this 🚨 red siren icon appear next to your alert name.

You will also receive an 🔔 in-app notification in the top right.

Clicking on the notification will open the notification details about the alert.

You will also see a banner on top of the entity you set the alert for:

Setting Up Notifications

When you click on your username in the top right and then click settings and you will be directed toward Account Settings.

Email Notifications

Here you can set up how frequently you will receive emails for Alert notifications:

Once you have set your email preferences this is what the email will look like when it enters your inbox. (Please note this is just an example email of another Alert Test)

What does Your Publisher Receive?

When you choose the action to notify the publisher, the publisher's contacts under the Publisher Details > Contacts tab that has the 'Receives Notifications' enabled will receive an email. This email is only sent once per day with the subject headline "Daily Notification Summary for <Organization Name>".

They will not see any sensitive details (e.g. notifications sent to users 45, 11) only what the alert is about or if their access has changed (similar to scheduled changes).
