Feed API configurator

Optimize the Feed API for your publishers with these few steps.

Updated over 9 months ago

Swaarm Feed API

There are a few ways you can optimize and set what offers would be displayed in the Feed API for your publishers. Read how to connect your publisher to the feed API if they have not integrated yet.

Feed API Configuration

1. Per publisher setting: You would like to set a certain rule of what offers to be displayed in the feed to the publisher. For this case, you find this setting under the Publisher page > Feed API tab.

2. Global setting: However, you might also want to have a global Feed API configurator, where for all the publishers on your platform, those offers will be displayed. In this scenario, you can go to the menu Organization > Settings > Feed API

Show Offer Budgets

If you want to Show Offer Budgets in the Feed API you can turn this feature on here. This means ALL offer budgets (hourly, daily, monthly, total) will be visible in the Feed API if the respective publisher budgets are not set.

Show Soft Budgets

If you want to Show Soft Budgets instead of Hard Budgets in the Feed API you can turn this feature on here. Soft budgets will be used instead of hard budgets when they are defined. If no soft budget is defined, then a hard budget will be used.

In case soft budgets are added to both offers and publishers or not added to either of them, then the hierarchy would be:

  1. Offer-Publisher soft budgets

  2. Offer-Publisher Hard budgets

  3. Offer soft budgets

  4. Offer Hard budgets

❗️Important

In this case, the offer will be removed from the Feed API once the soft budget is reached.

Let's go through every setting:

  • Whitelisted offers: Show your publishers always the same offers

  • Blacklisted offers: Never show your publishers certain offers

  • o Advertiser

    o Country

    o Platform

    o Reaches Store

    o Reached Tracker

    o Offer Tags

  • Performance: Show your publisher the top making money offers

  • Boost: Show your publishers the newest offers of your portfolio

  • Exploratory: Show your publisher good-performing offers from other publishers

Whitelisted Offers

Show your publishers always the same offers

Probably you always want to show this publisher offers that you would to like push no matter if they are old or don't make money. In this case, you select the offers in this filter.

Blacklisted Offers

Never show your publishers certain offers

Pick what offer you never want to show this publisher in their feed API.

Filters

  1. Advertisers: Show your publishers at least some offers of selected advertisers. There could be a case where you want to show offers only from an individual or group of advertisers. In this case, you can select one or multiple advertisers in the filter.

  2. Country: Select and filter offers based on Geo country that you would like to display to your publishers.

  3. Platform: Select and filter offers based on a platform that you would like to display to your publishers

  4. Tags: Only offers that have these tags are displayed to the publisher.

  5. Reaches store: Swaarm runs its Scan tool twice per day on every active offer to detect if the Offer Tracking Link reaches the store. Once this filter is selected as "Yes", only those offers reach the store will be displayed to the publisher.

    • You can identify those offers if the Hit Store mark is green

  6. Reaches tracker: Swaarm runs twice per day our Scan tool on every active offer to detect if the Offer Tracking Link reaches a tracker. Only those offers will be displayed to the publisher.

    • You can identify those offers if the Tracker label is not empty

Performance

Show your publisher the top making money offers

Let's assume that you would like to take the best offers approved for this publisher and serve them in descending order in terms of revenue generated over a set duration of time. As long as the offers are approved for this publisher, this is how those offers will be displayed in the Feed API to the publisher.

Example:

In this example, a maximum number of 10 offers are served to the publisher in descending order in terms of revenue generated over the past 48 hours

Boost

Show your publishers the newest offers of your portfolio

Let's assume that you constantly get new offers, and it is too early to check if those make money. In this case, if you want to try new offers on publishers, insert the maximum number of new offers to be displayed to this publisher for a set period of time. The offers will be selected based on the latest creation date.

We have also added an OR clause when these new offers will be removed after predetermined clicks are generated in the tenure of set hours. Therefore, whichever condition is fulfilled first will be executed.

Example:

In this example, a maximum of 20 offers are selected and,
served for up to 48 hours
OR
The offers are removed after 100000 clicks are generated over the past 12 hours

Exploratory

Show your publisher good performing offers from other publishers

Let's assume you want to show a certain number of good performing offers from other publishers for a certain amount of time, these offers are selected based on the revenue generated over a set period of hours and are served to this publisher in descending order.
We have also added an OR clause here which will remove the offer from this list once it reaches a predetermined amount of clicks over a set tenure of time. Therefore, whichever condition is fulfilled first will be executed

Example:

In this example, a maximum of 20 offers are selected and,
served for 48 hours.
OR
The offers are removed once they reach 100000 clicks within the past 12 hours.
These offers are selected based on the revenue generated over the past 72 hours and served in descending order to this publisher.

Additional Tips

  • Keep in mind that the offers displayed in the Feed API are the ones that are approved for the publisher. From that pool of approved offers, the ones fitting the settings of the Feed API setting will be displayed to the publisher.

  • If no number is selected for a particular field, the numbers in gray color are visible in the field will be applicable.

  • You can have multiple configurations for one publisher, which will be also considered as OR between all of them.
