Blocking Publisher on Advertiser Level

How to block publishers on the Advertiser level.

Updated over a week ago

Some publishers are blocked on the offer level as they are not allowed to run a specific offer. However, in some cases, publishers can also be blocked on the Advertiser level when they are not allowed to run any offer from a specific advertiser.

How to block publishers on the advertiser level?

  1. Click on the “Blocked Publishers” tab on the Advertiser detail page

  2. Click on the “Add button”

  3. Select the publishers you wish to block.

  4. You will see all the offers for which this publisher is currently approved, and how much traffic (clicks) and profit this publisher has made for those offers over the last 7 days.

  5. You can also select a reason for why you are blocking this publisher in order to remember this for the future when you want to unblock them.

  6. Click on “Save”

What happens with the clicks and conversions when a publisher is blocked?

If a publisher is blocked via the steps above, the following will happen:

  1. Any click that the publisher sends after it is blocked will be Discarded i.e. it won't be forwarded to the advertiser. It can be found under “Discarded Clicks” in explorer.

  2. But postback that is related to the blocked publisher will be approved and passed to the publisher. [We will add a rule for this in the next releases to block this]

How to remove blocked publishers?

  1. Under the “Blocked Publisher” tab on the Advertiser detail page, you will see the list of publishers blocked.

  2. You can also unblock them by clicking on the bin as shown below.
