Google Ads Integration with Swaarm

Set up your Swaarm offers to run as campaigns on Google Ads using a Google-certified tracking template.

Overview

This integration lets you run Google Ads campaigns through Swaarm as the tracking layer. Traffic from your Google Ads campaigns is tracked in Swaarm and forwarded to the advertiser's offer, just like any other publisher traffic.

Integrating Google Ads with Swaarm requires three components:

  • the offer,

  • a dedicated Google Ads publisher,

  • and the tracking URLs applied within Google Ads.

Step 1 - Offer Setup in Swaarm

Before generating the tracking template for Google Ads, make sure your offer is configured correctly:

  • Preview URL - the offer must have a valid Preview URL; this becomes the Final URL in your Google Ads campaign

  • Macros - the offer tracking link should only contain macros supported by Swaarm

  • Parallel Tracking - must be enabled on the offer. More about Parallel Tracking here

Step 2 - Publisher Setup for Google Ads

A dedicated publisher is required to generate a Google-certified tracking URL.

  1. Create a new Publisher in Swaarm

  2. Tag it as GooglePublisher

  3. Approve the GooglePublisher on the specific offer you intend to promote via Google Ads

Step 3 - Generating and Setting the Tracking URL on Google Ads

A. Template URL (Tracking Template)

This is the tracking template Swaarm uses to record and redirect clicks.

1. Go to the offer in Swaarm and copy the Publisher Tracking URL associated with the GooglePublisher

Example:

https://gtrcking.com/click?cid=9999&offer_id=28800&pub_id=137&redirection_url={lpurl}

2. Optionally, add the following to track GCLID, GBRAID, and WBRAID from Google Ads:

&gclid={gclid}&wbraid={wbraid}&gbraid={gbraid}

⚠️ Auto-tagging must be enabled in Google Ads → Account Settings for GCLID, GBRAID, and WBRAID to be passed correctly.

B. Final URL

The Final URL in your Google Ads ad should be the Preview URL configured on the offer in Swaarm - this is the actual landing page the user is taken to.

Once everything is set up, traffic from your Google Ads campaigns will be tracked in Swaarm and forwarded to the advertiser's offer.
