App Creation
You can add an app to your Swaarm dashboard at any time. The step of App creation can be done even before the app has been published.
How to Create a New App
Log in to the Swaarm Dashboard
Select Apps from the menu on the left
You will land on the Apps Overview page. From here select + Create from the top right corner
Enter the App Name
Add/Create any Tags that you would want to associate with this App
This step is optional however, can be helpful for grouping similar apps together for targeting or reporting later on
Select Save
Once the App is created, you will be redirected to the App details page, where you can see all the relevant stats for the App. Once the entire setup for Apps, Store Apps, and Events has been done and the SDK has been integrated into the Apps, you will begin to see the stats in the Swaarm Dashboard.
Add App Events
Before we start setting up the Store App (i.e. App for the respective stores), we need to set up the App Events on the Swaarm dashboard. Follow the steps below, to create the events for the app:
Go to the App details page
Select Edit
Select the Events tab from the App Edit page
You will see the following default events set up
Open: This is a quality event which is used to track user sessions
Reinstall: This is a quality event to track reinstalls from previously existing users
To add more events, click on + New Event
Add the Event Name
Select the Event type:
Acquisition
Quality
Monetization
Add the Mapping ID
Note: The mapping ID should be the same as that of the
event_type_id
that being called from the SDKClick Save
Once Saved, you will see the event setup along with the Swaarm Event ID at the top of the page.
Once all the events have been created, you can go back to the App details page by clicking the back arrow button left of the App name at the top.
The next step in the setup is to create Store Apps.
