Search Monetization Getting Started

The onboarding process for new Swaarm Search Monetization clients is streamlined through a structured Getting Started form that guides you through the initial steps necessary to kickstart your operations on the search platform. This guide outlines the process of creating a Provider, integrating with APIs for stats retrieval, and creating a Feed.

Step 1: Create a Provider

  1. Go to the bottom right in the platform and click ▶️ Getting Started.

  2. Decide whether to:

    1. Choose an already existing Provider

    2. Create a new Provider

      1. Enter the Name of the Provider

      2. Select the Account Type

        1. This is a reference tag and will have no impact on traffic or feeds

      3. Set the Status to Active

      4. Select the Account Manager responsible for this Provider

      5. Optional: Select the Sales Manager

      6. Select the Country where the Provider is operating from

      7. Optional: Add Tags that can be used for filtering or grouping similar Providers together

      8. Optional: Add an internal Note for your team and is never shared with third parties

  3. Click Next and the Provider will be added to the platform.

Step 2: API Integration

The next step focuses API integration with your provider to retrieve statistics automatically.

If the provider you've created already has an existing integration, then the form will skip this step automatically.

For New Integrations:

  1. Select the Partner (API) for integration

  2. Fill out the required fields

    1. Different integrations may require alternate information (e.g. API key, URL, Client, etc.)

  3. Click Next

Step 3: Create a Feed

The final step involves creating a Feed. This is where you define the Feed URL and various settings to begin sending traffic to your campaigns.

  1. Input the Provider Feed ID

    1. This will help map the data accurately when importing a data

  2. Add a custom Feed Name

  3. Add the Feed URL

    1. Click Add Macros for an easier editing process

    2. Use {term} to pass keywords

  4. Select the targeted Countries

  5. Set feed Status

    1. Active will set the feed live right away once you save, and can begin receiving traffic

    2. Pending will not set the feed live once you save, allowing you to make adjustments and add publishers and then set the feed to active later

  6. Optional: Add any Tags to the feed for filtering options later

  7. Optional: Add an internal Note for your team

    1. This is for internal use only and will not be shared with third parties

  8. Click Finish

Once you click finish, then you will be redirected to the Feed details page that you just created. Now you can add your publishers and send traffic to your feed.
